Projects
Ongoing Projects
- Church Plant in Tieton: In September of 2007 the Aguilar
family moved to Tieton, Washington with the purpose of planting a church among
the 55%+ Hispanics living in the Tieton area.
Circle of Silence: The six central states of Mexico are
denominated by missionaries in the area called the “Circle
of Silence” because of the minimum presence of evangelical Christians
(less than 0.03% in most areas). The Highlands of Jalisco is a ministry emphasis
area for New Life Hispanic Ministries (NLHM) with the presence of the Sali
family living in Arandas, Jalisco since 2007. Short Term Mission Trips are
scheduled throughout the year and a Pastors and Leaders Retreat is held
in November of each year.
- Missionary Recruiting Program: NLHM staff visit Bible Schools
and Seminaries in the US, Mexico, & Guatemala in
order to challenge students to join in what God is doing through this ministry.
- Support Raising Program: We invite churches and individuals
to support the work of New Life Hispanic Ministries in prayer, by volunteering,
and through financial support.
Future Projects
- Radio Program: “Buenas
Nuevas para Ti” (Good News for You) is a radio program that will
be produced by NLHM in order to reach out to the Hispanic Community in the
Yakima Valley and beyond.
- Evangelistic Website: In combination with the radio program
and the evangelistic publications of NLHM, a website will be developed in
order to follow up with those contacted through the radio and printed material.
- 2009 Women's Conference: In the spring of 2009 a women's
conference will be held in Yakima in an effort to minister in a multicultural
way to all women in the area. The 2009 conference theme will be “Conflict
Resolution in the Family”.
- 2009 Multicultural Ministry Conference: A gathering of
ministries that reach out in a cross cultural way in order to challenge the
local churches to get involved in these ministries and become more relevant
to their multicultural community. Programmed for the fall of 2009.
- Radio Station: We are praying for the opportunity to establish
the first Hispanic Radio station in Yakima. In collaboration with Gospel Echoes
and with the support of several donors, this dream may become true as early
as 2009.
10 Year Plan (2007-2017)
- Plant 6 churches in 10 years: Plant 6 churches in the
I-82 corridor of Central Washington in partnership with local churches and
individuals in order to reach out to the Hispanic population in the area and
that those churches can become missionary minded churches to reach out to
the world starting with their own countries.
- Establish a Missionological Center: This center will have
the main purposes of training and research in order to provide the necessary
knowledge and experience to the ministry in an ever changing society.
- Establish a Support Services Center: This support center
will develop materials to be used in the ministry, such as: Publications,
Media Resources, and other tools that will enhance NLHM’s outreach capabilities.
