José Contreras and his wife, Heather, live in Yakima where José works as an elementary school teacher and owns Splash Monkey, a water balloon filling business. José and Heather have served in ministry together for the past 6 years as youth leaders at their church and have served on short term missions and outreach events both in Latin America and locally. José grew up in Yakima, where as a youth, he was involved in ministry at Iglesia Biblica Vida Nueva – CrossLink’s first established church plant.
Exciting things are happening as God leads and grows this ministry! CrossLink is an evangelical support ministry, collaborating with churches and missionaries in the US Pacific Northwest, Mexico and Venezuela! Church planting, short-term missions, discipleship & training ministries, as well as missionary encouragement are all parts of what God has called us to do. We invite you to open these pages and see for yourself what God is doing. Join us where God leads you to participate!
CrossLink was born from a one-time, short-term ministry trip to Venezuela by a group of believers from Yakima, WA. During this trip, God awakened a vision and a calling to begin an on-going partnership ministry to Spanish-speaking people in Venezuela, and in Central Washington. Many Central Washington communities are comprised of a majority population whose first language is Spanish. Most have never heard a clear presentation of the gospel. This vision and partnership has blossomed into the ministry shared in these pages.
“CrossLink seeks to reach Hispanic peoples with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all places by all means”
This vision will be reached by commissioning our team to promote and implement biblical principles for relational and multicultural ministry.
